Application Process for International Students
Below are the steps you will need to complete to gain admission into the University of Sioux Falls. For more information, or if you have questions or need assistance, click here to visit the International Education Office page.
Step 1: Apply Online for Free
Step 2: Transcripts
Submit your high school transcript and transcripts from all colleges that you have attended (if applicable) for review to the University of Sioux Falls. Please note that an applicant may be asked to submit a transcript to a credential evaluation service.
A minimum of 2.8 GPA or higher (U.S. equivalency) is required for admission.
Before the International Education Office can issue an I-20, OFFICIAL transcripts (not a photocopy) are required. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent from the school directly to the University of Sioux Falls.
Step 3: English Language Proficiency Scores
Submit one of the following for review:
- TOEFL (internet-based test) score of 75 or better; OR
- IELTS score of 6 or better; OR
- Duolingo score of 110 or better
Under certain circumstances you may not be required to submit a TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score. If you feel your English is strong, please contact the Director of International Education at international@usiouxfalls.edu to inquire about an English proficiency waiver.
Before the International Education Office can issue an I-20, OFFICIAL test reports (not a photocopy) are required. To be considered official, test reports must be sent from the testing center directly to the University of Sioux Falls.
Step 4: Application Addendum and Proof of Funding
After we receive all of the application materials listed above, we will email you instructions for completing the application addendum and submitting proof of funding.
