Jessica Cherenegar

Director of USF School of Nursing

Dr. Jessica Cherenegar earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary in Bismarck North Dakota and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from North Dakota State University in Fargo North Dakota. She has an expansive clinical background with a primary emphasis on critically ill adult patients and primary care medicine. Her doctoral work focused on the acute disparity of literacy levels and the overall impact to the health of adult patients.

Dr. Cherenegar's passion for education was developed from an intense desire to impact patient outcomes early in the development of the registered nurse. She was able to live this mission as an adjunct faculty and clinical instructor before focusing on the administrative aspect of education.

She resides in Sioux Falls with her daughter, Ava.
